The confirmed number by the American forces now is 14,600 Iraqis detained in American prisons alone and we understand that the people of Iraq, their friends and family are suffering from that, too.

They're very supportive of what we do. They're making the point that we have helped many detainees.

We want to make it clear to the kidnappers that these people were working for the good of the Iraqi people.

Well, it's a little bit of a mix of hope and distress. Hope because we still see three of our friends obviously alive and also a bit of distress because the other friend, Tom Fox from the United States, is not shown.

Most of the kidnappings are of Iraqi citizens.

If we left Iraq, we would be abandoning our friends.

When these people are released - and I believe they will be - they will be dumped onto the streets of Baghdad and the only place they will have to go is back to our apartment. We have to have someone there.
